~ In Loving Memory of Grandpap ~
Rev. George Rath, a.k.a. "Grandpap," was a solid fixture in the Southmoreland Marching Band for 18 years. He was known as Grandpap to all of the band, including the staff, and was the most dedicated fan the band has ever had. He was at every performance and was always a solid support behind the scenes. He was loved by everyone, and will be missed greatly. A special thanks is extending to the Rath family for supporting the George Rath Memorial Scholarship to a graduating senior band member each year.
